    提要註: An easy to understand basic introduction to modern organic chemistry through demonstrations, graphics, and documentary. These videos plainly show what that means for us today in terms of food, wood, clothing, preservatives, solvents, medicines-- and life itself. Two young chemists deal simply with the origins of organic chemistry and the complexity of organic compounds, explaining how and when chemical discoveries were made, and what the questions or conditions were that compelled further experimentation. They present the hydrocarbon families and an introduction to electrons, ether, and alcohol. They show synthetic organic compounds, the effects of carbon's structure, demystifying petrochemicals and proteins, and always with practical relevance through examples in modern everyday life.
